Domus Vista Center, Frederiksberg

In spring 2009 two group exhibitions in extension took place at the former library in Domus Vista with paintings created by Edith, Jytte, Ann, Lily, Tove, Margit, Gert and Rita, all locals from Frederiksberg Daycare Center and Helle, Ole, Vagn, Else Marie and Åse from Norden Daycare Center and also from locals living in Domus Vista Center. The exhibition was arranged by Karoline H. Larsen, she worked as a painting teacher for the locals for 2 years.
For many years due to complex aspects this area of the Frederiksberg city was called ‘dead’, and in particular the Domus Vista shopping and appartment center. The area is in need for new initiatives of collective social happenings. The exhibitions were in collaboration with the city plan department of Frederiksberg Municipality, during Søndermarken’s ‘neighborhood improvement’ and with Supertanker.org.
